A Kitty's Home on the Web
In 2002, I asked Anne to send me a CD of her favorite songs. One of those songs that caught my interest was sung by Emmylou Harris, "Sweet Old World."
This song caught my interest because it is sung to a person who has committed suicide. I suppose there are many songs about suicide, but I had not heard one directed to the individual who had taken her own life:
See what you lost when you left this world, this sweet old world.
I googled that song, found the original author of that song to be a woman named Lucinda Williams. I bought the Williams album on which she had recorded that song, Sweet Old World. I've been a raving fan of Lucinda Williams ever since.
From Little Honey, released 2008.
